After two years as the Gwinnett County Board of Education’s vice chairman, Steve Knudsen got a promotion from his colleagues on Thursday night when he was picked to be the board’s chairman for 2024.
Knudsen was appointed to the chairman position by a 4-1 vote, with former Chairwoman Tarece Johnson-Morgan opposed. Morgan had nominated board member Adrienne Simmons for the position although no one seconwded the nomination.
