A Johns Creek resident is vying to become the first Gen Z, Hindu and Indian state senator in Georgia history while also trying to unseat an incumbent who was indicted this fall alongside former President Donald Trump in an alleged election interference case.
Ashwin Ramaswami has launched his campaign to run as a Democrat against state Sen. Shawn Still for the Senate District 48 seat in the 2024 state legislative elections. His campaign said it has already raised $108,000.
