Swinerton, an industry-leading commercial general contractor with offices nationwide, announces the completion of its new, expanded Atlanta hub. Located in the city’s popular and award-winning adaptive reuse project Armour Yards, the office is ready for the company to more than double its Atlanta workforce in response to its exponential growth, with a host of features and amenities supporting its well-defined workplace culture and unique workforce development initiatives. Today, approximately 70 employees occupy the 10,000-square foot space at 251 Armour Drive, which officially opens on February 29.
“Our team is now closer to the heart of Atlanta affording us easier access to jobsites in all directions,” explains Derek Mosiman, Vice President and Division Manager, Swinerton, Atlanta division. “Not only does this represent our continued commitment to this market, but it also reflects our need for a centralized location given the demand for our services throughout the metro area.” In 2023, revenues for the Atlanta division topped $120 million, doubling that of the previous year. Leadership expects continued exponential growth, projecting revenues to surpass $340 million by 2030 and positioning Swinerton as one of Atlanta’s top 10 general contractors.
“This exponential growth doesn’t happen without an expansion of our team,” states Mosiman. In 2023, the Atlanta division nearly doubled its workforce adding 22 new employees, including several key positions from other Swinerton offices as part of the company’s talent mobility initiative and focus on developing its workforce. “Among the five Swinerton transfers, we infused Atlanta’s construction workforce with nearly a century of valuable expertise,” states Mosiman.
