JONESBORO — Clayton County Public Schools has announced the launch of new district and school-based websites on Tuesday, Jan. 9.
“The websites are designed with our users in mind,” a CCPS press release stated. “They will provide easier access to current information, innovative educational initiatives, exciting community engagement opportunities, and important CCPS news — directly to your fingertips or just a few clicks away.”
In spite of upgrades to the websites, staff, students, families, and other stakeholders are assured that the information they are used to accessing will still be available.
Features of the new websites will include the following:
— More visually appealing icons and images.
— Greater consistency in appearance among district and schools’ websites.
— Easier to navigate web pages.
“While all the new websites will embrace a more uniform appearance, they will still preserve their unique school identity and demonstrate how we are ‘Building a Better Tomorrow, Today,’ the CCPS press release read.
In addition to new websites, CCPS will also upgrade its telephone/email notification system application and the CCPS Mobile App.
“I want to ensure that Clayton County Public Schools provides our stakeholders with resources and tools that are cutting-edge, efficient, and relevant to their needs to ensure they remain connected, engaged, and informed of school and district happenings,” Clayton County School Superintendent Anthony Smith said. “Our websites are one of the gateways to current information. We are excited about these much-needed upgrades.
The school system has prepared a video to guide individuals through the changes. That video is available on the CCPS YouTube Channel at https://youtu.be/pjB2TSkDEpw.
