The city of Forest Park recently congratulated employee William Ross on his official retirement after more than 50 years of service.
During its Nov. 6 meeting, the Forest Park City Council officially presented Ross with the “Key To The City.”
Ross was first hired in 1966 and has held several positions within the Public Works Department including laborer, refuse collector, truck driver, and maintenance worker.
“For decades, Mr. Ross played an integral role when it came to creating, cleaning and installing city signage near local right of ways, as well as helping to maintain streets used by local commuters and pedestrians,” a statement from the city of Forest Park read.
