Several Halloween events and fall festivals are scheduled throughout the local area.
— A Halloween Carnival will be Friday, Oct. 27 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at Rex Park, 3499 Rex Road, Rex. Parking and shuttle service will be available from Roberta T. Smith Elementary, 6340 Georgia Highway 42, Rex, and Rex Mill Middle School, 6380 Evans Drive, Rex. There will be music, candy, food trucks, and vendors.
— The City of Morrow is holding a Safe Halloween event Saturday, Oct. 28 from 5 to 8 p.m. in The District, 1065 Old Morrow Road.
— The Clayton State University SAAC is hosting a Trunk or Treat Saturday, Oct. 28 starting at halftime of the men’s soccer game. The game against Georgia Southwestern starts at 3 p.m. The SAAC is giving away free candy to the kids who show up wearing their favorite costumes.
— A Trunk or Treat 2023 event will be held at the Harold R. Banke Justice Center, 9151 Tara Blvd., Jonesboro, Tuesday, Oct. 31 at 6 p.m. There will be food, music, and candy.
— Divine Faith Ministries International, 9800 Tara Blvd., Jonesboro, will hold a Fall Festival on Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 4 to 8 p.m. There will be rides, food, candy, and costume contest.
— Halloween on North Main, presented by Jonesboro DDA/Main Street, is Oct. 31 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at 267 N. Main St. Local businesses will line the street to give out sweets and goodies.
— A Fall Harvest Festival is scheduled Saturday, Nov. 4 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Jim Huie Recreation Center, 9045 Tara Blvd., Jonesboro, Ga 30236. There will be a bouncy house, food trucks, and music.
