FOREST PARK — The city of Forest Park is currently accepting bids and proposals for the construction of a new fire station facility at 330 Forest Pkwy.
Renderings for the proposed modern 15,140-square-foot facility include a fire station, four apparatus bays and better accommodations for city personnel.
City officials worked with local architects and urban designers to develop conceptual plans for the project.
Bids and proposals are due to the city by 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 24.

The $8.3 million, 15,000-square foot building is a mixed-use facility that includes fire station with three apparatus bays, a police precinct substation, a state-of-the-art conference room for public safety personnel, a high-end kitchen, compartmentalized sleeping quarters, and a full weight and exercise room.
