FOREST PARK — The city of Forest Park Economic Development Department recently released a request for proposals for nine separate properties within target areas for developers to review.
The revitalization of Forest Park’s Main Street — formally a commercial corridor developed in the 1960s — is a priority for the city in order to help attract more restaurants, entertainment, commercial services and new residents to the area, a statement from the city read.
To drive this revitalization, the city has completed a Livable Communities Initiative that foresees this growth, while also establishing an Entertainment District on Main Street to provide high-quality living.
“The release of this RFP demonstrates that we are serious about the redevelopment of our community and our wish for this municipality to become the economic engine for Clayton County,” said Mayor Angelyne Butler “Forest Park is truly a city for every season, whether you are a first-time investor or experienced investor.”
RFPs for the following properties are now available on the city’s website:
♦ 1.93 acres on five combined lots at 4871 College St.
♦ .46-acre vacant lot at 670 Main St.
♦ Two buildings (10-unit retail center) totaling 7,718-square feet at 751-771 Main St.
♦ 2.84-acre undeveloped lot on Robin Lane.
♦ .96 acres on combined vacant lots at 760-770 Main St.
♦ .36 acres on combined lots at 794 Main St.
♦ A 9,644-square-foot, two-Story building and 0.7-acre vacant Lot lot at 842-850 Main St.
♦ .43-acre undeveloped lot at 1056 Main St.
