Prepare to say farewell to another longtime staple of Highland Avenue’s food scene.
Highland Bakery – the home of beloved favorites including fried chicken Benedict, peanut butter French toast and more – announced over the weekend it’ll be closing the flagship location at 655 Highland Ave. NE. The location, which has been in operation for 20 years, will shutter on Jan. 31, according to a post signed by founder and CEO Stacey Eames on the restaurant’s Facebook page.
