The deadline for the Joy Tellis Scholarship is approaching as the final day to apply is April 21.
Created by Clayton County Board of Education member Joy Tellis Cooper (District 8), the fund awards $500 scholarships to CCPS high school seniors.
Scholarship consideration will be given based on academic achievement, financial need, and the student’s community service record.
Joy Tellis Scholarship Fund Criteria:
1. Applicant must be a college-bound senior from Morrow and Forest Park High Schools.
2. Applicant must intend on pursuing a four-year college/university degree.
3. Applicant must demonstrate an interest in pursuing a degree in business .
Joy Tellis Scholarship Fund Guidelines:
1. Scholarships will be awarded on an annual basis and disbursed in July.
2. Scholarship awards are a maximum of $500 to be paid annually in full by July 31.
3. This scholarship is non-renewable. Only high school seniors intending to enroll in a four-year college or university are eligible to apply. Previous scholarship recipients cannot re-apply.
Applications are due on Friday, April 21 by 11:59 p.m.
