JONESBORO — The former Jonesboro City Hall is being repurposed.
The building at 124 North Ave. will become Clayton County’s Economic Development office.
The city is renting the facility to the county for $2,500 a month. The lease begins on March 1 with a two-year renewal built in.
The city will be responsible for maintaining the building’s driveway and paved parking area as well as exterior lighting, snow and waste removal and all exterior maintenance.
The city hall became vacant when staff moved to the completed city center in October 2022.
The Office of Economic Development is responsible for attracting businesses to the county while promoting expansion, retention, project management, locations and handling small business inquiries.
