JONESBORO — Clayton County Public Schools recently celebrated the commencement of the 2024 winter graduates.
The winter graduation event was held Tuesday, Jan. 23 at the Clayton County Public Schools Performing Arts Center.
The 2024 winter graduating class, representing eight CCPS high schools along with the Perry Career Academy, crossed the stage with a class count of more 250 students.
The ceremony comprised the presentation of colors by Mt. Zion High School’s JROTC, a rendition of the National Anthem by Lovejoy High School student Jamiah Wright, and words of wisdom from district leaders.
The commencement keynote was delivered by motivational speaker, CEO, and author Earl Suttle.
The graduating seniors also received a special greeting from Atlanta Technical College President Victoria Seals, who granted every graduating senior guaranteed acceptance to Atlanta Technical College.
Final confirmation from Clayton County School Superintendent/CEO Anthony W. Smith was given to the graduating class as they turned their tassels.
