JONESBORO – Clayton County Commissioner DeMont Davis was recently elected to fill an unexpired term on the 2022-2023 Board of Managers of the Association County Commissioners of Georgia. Davis will represent the association as an at-large pepresentative covering the whole state.
“On behalf of the association staff and our membership, I would like to welcome Commissioner Davis as one of the newest members of the Board of Managers,” said Executive Director Dave Wills. “Elected by their peers, the ACCG Board of Managers is a group of dynamic leaders that serve as decision makers on behalf of our organization.”
Since being elected to the Clayton County Commission in 2018, Davis has been actively engaged in ACCG. He has served as vice-chair and later chairman of the association’s Economic Development and Transportation Policy Committee. He also holds a position on the Georgia Hydrogen Energy Braintrust recently established by the U.S. Department of Energy. As an ACCG at-large representative, Davis will work alongside other board members to lead the association and guide policies during the next year.
“I am grateful for this opportunity and looking forward to better serving and assisting the citizens of Clayton County,” said District 4 Commissioner DeMont Davis. “Thank you ACCG for your consideration and the chance to serve.”
