JONESBORO — In its meeting Tuesday, May 2, the Clayton County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved the purchase of three ambulances for the Clayton County Fire Department.
The total cost is $645,197 and the contract is with Ten 8 Fire & Safety, in Bradenton, Fla.
Commissioners also approved the purchase of SimMan Manikins for the Fire Department. The purchase includes software, training and maintenance and the total cost is $113,303.10. The contract is with Laerdal Medical Corporation in Wappingers Falls, N.Y.
In other action Tuesday commissioners:
— Approved a contract with the Tomal Corporation, of Decatur, for asphalt maintenance and seal coating.
— Approved a contract amendment with Gartner Inc., of Stamford, Conn., to add an executive program membership for the Clayton County Information Technology Department. The amendment is for an additional $143,500 and will be paid for with American Rescue Plan Act money.
— Approved a $99,433.16 emergency purchase contract with Place Services, of Canton, for restroom renovations at the Morrow Library.
— Approved a contract amendment with Dell Marketing LP, of Round Rock, Texas, and SHI International Corporation, of Somerset, N.J. for software and ancillary services.
— Approved $10,000 donated from Kaiser to cover cost of staff meals for MayFest and cash prizes for winners of the Fitness Walk. The event is May 13.
— Approved an order for remission in case of the State of Georgia vs. Lorenzo Lockette, defendant, and Free at Last Bail Bonds.
— Approved to reallocate $25,000 from Community and Schools budget to Clayton County Department of Youth Services to use for its Coding Boot Camp.
— Approved to accept a $40,485 donation to the Parks and Recreation from the estate of Mary Lucy Cline Huie. Funds are to be provided to the Clayton County Greenspace Land Trust.
