Children’s Museum of Atlanta announces Allegra Lawrence-Hardy as this year’s Power of Play beneficiary. This award recognizes individuals who, through leadership, innovation and passion, embody the Museum’s mission to change the world by sparking every child’s imagination, sense of discovery and learning through the power of play. The upcoming adults-only charity ball designed to make learning through play accessible to children of all backgrounds, Imagination Ball is presented by Georgia Power.
Allegra Lawrence-Hardy, a longtime member of the Children’s Museum of Atlanta Board of Directors and Executive Committee and co-founder of Lawrence & Bundy, a nationally recognized litigation law firm, has profoundly impacted the lives of children and youth through her leadership and deep commitment to providing opportunities for the next generation of leaders. Her extensive community engagement and board leadership extends to many of Atlanta’s long-established children’s organizations including the Atlanta Girls’ School, Zoo Atlanta, the Alliance Theater, and the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta to name a few. Lawrence-Hardy also contributes her time as a trustee of Spelman College and a trustee of Emory University and is a Former Commissioner of the American Bar Association’s Committee on the Lawyers’ Role in Assuring Every Child’s Right to a Higher-Quality Education. Lawrence-Hardy is also the recipient of a number of legal distinctions including Top 100 Georgia Super Lawyer, Top 50 Female Georgia Super Lawyer, Benchmark Litigation Stars, and Best Lawyers in America.
