Atlanta Pride, Georgia’s oldest organization serving the LGBTQ+ community, is excited to launch its newest philanthropic initiative, Pride Across the Peach State. Designed to uplift and support local Pride organizations throughout Georgia, this grant program aims to bolster community-building efforts and promote inclusion across the state.
Atlanta Pride has a long-standing commitment to advancing unity, visibility, and wellness within the LGBTQ+ community. With Pride Across the Peach State, Atlanta Pride extends its reach beyond the metro Atlanta area, recognizing the vital work being done by grassroots organizations throughout Georgia.
“We believe in the power of community and the importance of supporting local initiatives,” said Chris McCain, Executive Director at Atlanta Pride. “Pride Across the Peach State reflects our organization’s dedication to fostering connections, celebrating diversity, and combating discrimination across Georgia.”
The initiative will award grants of up to $5,000 to support local Pride organizations in hosting festivals and events that promote LGBTQ+ arts, culture, history, and music, as well as those that facilitate community connection and raise awareness of LGBTQ+ issues.
“We’re excited to see the impact these grants will have on LGBTQ+ communities across Georgia,” added Crystal Stubbs, Board Chair for Atlanta Pride. “By supporting local Pride events, we’re not only celebrating our diversity but also strengthening our networks and promoting social change.”
