SYLVESTER — The contractor working on State Route 133 in Worth County plans to shift traffic onto a newly constructed detour starting Thursday.
Once traffic has moved, the existing roadway will be removed and new lanes will be built. This is one of four sections of SR 133 that is currently being reconstructed/widened. This section runs from north of the Colquitt County line to north of State Route 112, a little over six miles. The current scheduled completion date is the summer of 2026.
