Two people killed, at least 10 injured in Kyiv attack: Zelenskyy
Two people were killed and more than 10 were injured in an extensive Russian attack against Ukrainian capital Kyiv, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed in a Google-translated update on Telegram.
He noted several other casualties may still be under rubble and debris, adding that communications and high-voltage cables were damaged. Earlier, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko had said that electricity supply to parts of the capital city was impaired as a result of the offensive.
Zelenskyy said that an overall of six regions came under recent attack, with dozens of residential buildings shattered in Mykolaiv, and two people injured in the Kharkiv region.
“My condolences to all those who have lost family and friends. We will certainly respond to Russia – terrorists will always feel the consequences of their actions,” the Ukrainian leader said.
