The second annual Northside Saint Patrick’s Festival returns on Saturday, March 23 at City Green in Sandy Springs featuring music, dancing, and vendors.
Vendor tents open at 11 a.m. on the City Green at 1 Galambos Way, followed by an opening ceremony at 11:30 a.m. Music and dance presentations will begin at noon and run until 5 p.m.
The festival is free to attend, though donations are appreciated. Organizers moved the even for the week after Atlanta’s Saint Patrick’s Day festivities to avoid conflicts in scheduling, according to a press release.
Northside Irish Culture and Arts, with the support of the Government of Ireland and sponsors, presents the festival to honor Saint Patrick and all things Irish.
“It truly was an honor to be part of and sponsor the 2023 inaugural event,” said Butch Elmgren, owner of Thos. O’Reilly’s Public House in Sandy Springs. “As a small local business and Irish pub, we work year-round to host events that highlight the Irish culture, while at the same time being as involved in the greater community as possible.”
Multiple bands will take to the main stage playing classic and Irish-themed rock n roll, as well as a traditional “Irish Session” alternating with local Irish dance schools.
Food and drink will be available from food trucks and in the CityBar in the Performing Arts Center, the release said.
