Lumen Briarcliff – a mixed-use development at Briarcliff and Clairmont Roads featuring 264 luxury apartment units and 10,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space – is set to open in April.
Atlanta-based developers Atlantic Residential and Stein Investment Group said the first residents will begin moving into the Brookhaven development next month.
The design is “upscale, approachable luxury” with features including a clubroom with bar, rooftop lounge, small market, fitness studio, co-working space, a pool and grills, dog park and EV charging stations.
Construction of the final commercial building, which will house a two-story restaurant, is underway.
“Lumen Briarcliff is the first step in transforming this corridor and catalyzing long-overdue residential options and amenities for this submarket,” said Richard Aaronson, CEO and co-founder of Atlantic Residential. “The housing demand in this neighborhood has increased significantly since we started construction last year primarily due to the nearby employment opportunities at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Emory’s medical facilities at Executive Park and Century Center office park, just to name a few.”
Retail tenants include Sugar Polish Nail Bar, an Italian restaurant from Atlanta’s restauranteur Riccardo Ullio (Sotto Sotto in Inman Park), and a coffee shop.
Stein Investment Group also owns the adjacent site, Williamsburg Village Shopping Center. The six-acre site was rezoned for mixed-use in 2022, and construction is expected to begin in 2025.
