Xi Hotpot will open on Sat., Feb. 24, at Duluth International Village on North Berkley Lake Road. It’s located in the same complex as Taste of China and just south of Buford Highway Sichuan restaurant Masterpiece.
Centered on the ingredients and culinary traditions from the city of Chongqing in China’s Sichuan province, Xi Hotpot will offer over 20 broth choices and nearly 100 ingredients for cooking in bubbling hot broth at the table. This includes everything from crispy fried pork, marinated thick-cut beef, and tofu, to classic hot pot ingredients like chilled duck intestines, crispy sausage, and caviar fish balls.
Many of the ingredients served at Xi Hotpot come from area Asian markets, including Great Wall Supermarket and Jusgo Supermarket.
Hot pot is a highly communal dining experience. People gather around a simmering pot of broth on the table and individually cook sliced meats, vegetables, seafood, and noodles. Each person prepares their ingredients by dipping them into the hot broth and gradually cooking ingredients to the desired temperature. Cooked ingredients are then dipped in sauces and eaten.

Xi Hotpot joins several other hot pot restaurants around Duluth, including popular spots like J’s Mini Hot Pot, Chong Qing Hot Pot, and Ten Second Rice Noodle.
