The owners behind Pullman Yards made good on their promise to make the popular monthly chefs market a weekly fixture at the Kirkwood entertainment complex.
Starting March 16, the chefs market will occur every Saturday afternoon from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Expect over 50 vendors, including local farms selling produce, food from Atlanta pop-ups, chefs, and food trucks, and art from area artists.
Vice Taco, Phew’s Pies, Daddy’s Girl BBQ, and Bussin Jerk have all signed on to serve food at the market. Look for live music, craft demonstrations, and product samples from vendors, too.
An Asian night market takes place every fourth Friday of the month at Pullman Yards.
One of the market’s previous vendors landed a long-term residency at Pullman Yards restaurant Dailies and Sides late last year.
Owned by brothers Marcus and Michael Fernandez, Filipino-American pop-up Zarate Kitchen serves a mashup of street foods like adobo tacos, lumpia, and a redlink sausage hot dog topped with shredded cheese, mango atchara salsa, citrus ranch, and crispy onions. In addition to a la carte dishes, Zarate Kitchen sells balikbayan combo boxes with slow-brined, soy buttermilk fried chicken, or grilled pork skewers and sides of pancit noodles, charred vegetables, and rice.
Pullman Yards is also home to seafood restaurant and raw bar Fishmonger and drinks hall AlcoHall. Balloon Museum continues its run at the Kirkwood entertainment district through Apr. 14. The interactive installation features inflatable art created by 17 artists from around the world.
