Sharon is a strong believer in community involvement and investment.
She has consistently supported charitable events and appearances including domestic violence prevention and minority health and awareness.

Sharon began her broadcasting career as an on-air correspondent for the syndicated program “American Journal” right out of college. Sharon is a graduate of Georgetown University and holds a Master’s Degree from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
Of all her accomplishments, Sharon is most proud to be called Mom by her beautiful daughter Ava.
