
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has apprehended and charged former Jesup Fire Department Lieutenant Michael Baker Jr., age 35, with three counts of rape and one count of aggravated sodomy. The arrest came after the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and Jesup Police Department alerted the GBI to a rape allegation made against Baker on Thursday, July 27. According to the GBI, additional victims emerged, all claiming that Baker had incapacitated them by providing a drink, resulting in a state of unconsciousness.
