ATLANTA — In an effort to encourage blood donations, LifeSouth is offering gift cards to donors through Jan. 8.
The Don’t Be a Grinch Blood Drive is awarding a $20 e-gift card that can be redeemed at major retailers and restaurants.
Those who give double red cell donation or platelet donation will receive an additional $20 e-card.
Additionally, donors will receive refreshments and a mini-physical including cholesterol, iron level, temperature and blood pressure.
LifeSouth donates blood to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Atlanta Medical Center, North Fulton Hospital, Habersham Medical Center, Spalding Regional Medical Center and Sylvan Grove Hospital.
Henry County residents can give locally at the McDonough Donor Center, 329 Westridge Parkway in McDonough.
