RIVERDALE — A temporary warming station in Riverdale will remain open until Dec. 28 at noon.
The station at Sequoyah Middle School, 95 Valley Hill Road in Riverdale will provide cots and blankets for those who need to come in out of the cold.
“We have a responsibility to care for all Clayton County citizens, especially our displaced and homeless population,” said Clayton County Board of Commissioners Chairman Jeffrey E. Turner. “Securing a warming station for those in need is something that should never be taken for granted. We are committed to providing this resource to assist those in need during what is anticipated to be some of the coldest days of the year.”
To volunteer at the station, call Drew Andrews at 678-628-6525.
