ATLANTA — According to the Clayton County Police Department, K-9 Wade died on May 25 at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
In a May 31 press release, Clayton Police said at about 2 p.m. on May 25, he suffered a medical emergency while inside the patrol vehicle at the Airport.
“Officers immediately rushed K-9 Wade to our nearest animal control facility where the veterinarian advised K-9 Wade had passed away,” the press release read.
Wade was transported to a local veterinary school where a necropsy will be performed.
The Clayton County Police Department is investigating the incident.
