JONESBORO — Clayton County Public Schools social worker Kashera Guy Robinson was recently named School Social Worker of the Year by the School Social Workers Association of Georgia.
Kashera Guy Robinson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has served CCPS for 19 years.
As a member of the district’s School Social Work Department, Robinson has served on the Clayton County Attendance Protocol Committee, helped in the creation and operation of a clothing closet, and actively engaged with the School Social Work Week Committee.
She has also helped with the Holiday Food Drive, Resource Fair, and a 5K fundraiser sponsored by Luxottica’s Gift of Sight Program.
During her assignment at Forest Park High School, she was able to create and conduct a number of therapeutic groups including a grief group, an attendance group for chronically absent girls, and an anxiety group for girls struggling to return to school amidst the COVID-19 crisis.
She has also served as a mentor to newly-hired school social workers and master of social work interns.
