On Wednesday, May 3, 2023 the Clayton County Board of Education recognized those stakeholders and students who volunteered their time and energy to serve as a member of a Board Advisory Council and/or as a member of the Budget Advisory Committee for the 2022-23 school year.
Certificates of appreciation were presented to more than 130 community residents.
Board members Jasmine Bowles (District 1), Mark Christmas (District 2), Board Chair Jessie Goree (District 3), Victoria Williams (District 4), Dr. Deatrice “Dee” Haney (District 5), Mary Baker (District 6), Sabrina Hill (District 7), Joy Tellis Cooper (District , and Board Vice Chair Mr. Benjamin Straker (District 9), shared that each advisory council, which included residents from their respective districts, provided valuable insight and support on key issues throughout the school year.
