RIVERDALE — A search is underway for a missing 3-year-old boy in the Riverdale area.
According to the Clayton County Police Department, officers responded to a call of a missing person Sunday at about 4:15 p.m. to the 700 block of Commerce Boulevard, Riverdale.
During the investigation, officers learned that Benjamin Nkansa went missing between 3:30 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. At the time, he was last seen near the back door of his home.
It was later found out that he was last seen on a neighbor’s camera at 3:10 p.m.
Nkansah, 3, is a black male with black hair and brown eyes; 2 feet, 5 inches tall; and weighs about 20 to 30 pounds. His nickname is JoJo.
He was last seen wearing a brown shirt and gray sweatpants.
“The Clayton County Police Department and the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office are actively looking for Benjamin,” the Clayton PD stated on its Facebook page. “We have called in all resources such as the tracking K-9 hounds, helicopter (Falcon), and officers are currently searching the neighborhoods and woods.”
