The Atlanta Opera is proud to announce the election of three distinguished individuals to its Board of Directors: Caroline Hardin, Laura Lane, and Kelly Mayhall. These accomplished individuals bring a wealth of expertise and a shared passion for the arts to further enhance the Atlanta Opera’s mission of inspiring and engaging audiences through the power of opera.
Caroline Hardin brings community activism and fundraising expertise to the Atlanta Opera Board. She has led successful fundraising campaigns to battle homelessness and cultivated meaningful partnerships to support the Grady Health Foundation and the ARCS Foundation. Her passion for fostering a culture of philanthropy and her deep understanding of the arts landscape will be instrumental in advancing the Atlanta Opera’s fundraising initiatives and ensuring its financial sustainability.
Laura Lane is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in corporate leadership and community engagement. She currently serves as the Chief Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Officer at UPS, where she oversees Public Policy and Government Affairs, Public Relations, Employee Communications, Sustainability and The UPS Foundation. Lane’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and her track record of driving positive change will be invaluable assets to the Atlanta Opera as it continues to deepen its impact in the community.
Kelly Mayhall joins the Atlanta Opera board as a visionary leader in the retail industry. With over two decades of experience at The Home Depot where she is President of the Southern Division, Mayhall has held various executive positions, including vice president of operations and vice president of associate and customer experience. Her strategic acumen and innovative mindset will be instrumental in supporting the Atlanta Opera’s growth strategies.
