ATLANTA — Several local officials were honored at the recent 2024 Georgia Minority Business Awards.
Winning awards at the March 20 event at Georgia International Convention Center included:
— Forest Park City Manager Ricky Clark Jr. won the City Manager of the Year Award.
“Mr. Clark’s exemplary public service and dedication is second to none,” a statement from the City of Forest Park read. “We salute you, Mr. Clark on your outstanding achievements and look forward to many more achievements in the future.”
— Morrow Mayor John Lampl won Mayor of the Year.
— Terry Baskin was named Administrator of the Year. Baskin, the current secretary/treasurer of the Clayton County Development Authority, is a former Clayton County tax commissioner and candidate for Clayton County Commission Chair.
“The Georgia Minority Business Awards represents all people, races and cultures,” a statement from Georgia Minority Business Awards read. “The speakers, diversity CEO’s, minority business winners and scholarship recipients represent the best in success and exhibit these behaviors and values nationally and throughout the state of Georgia.”
