Fulton County got permission from Sandy Springs City Council to use the Heritage Sandy Springs building as an early voting site for the May primary and November general election.
“Typically Fulton County hosts advanced voting in the city at the North Fulton Annex, at the Dorothy Benson Center, and as well Sandy Springs library. But they’ve lost access to the Dorothy Benson Center for the upcoming election. So, they asked if we have space available,” City Clerk Raquel Gonzalez said.
The county will use the building at 6110 Blue Stone Road only for the primary and general elections.
Early voting for the May 21 primary election will be from April 29 to May 17. The Nov. 5 general election will have advance voting from Oct. 15 to Nov. 1.
The city will not charge the county to use the Heritage building. But as the building is not used frequently, the county agreed to pay for any janitorial services required during those periods, Gonzalez said.
