A Duluth-based company that produces the world’s first compostable oil absorbent has been serving companies for six years but its now expanding into the home improvement market for people who prefer to clean up any oil that spills at their homes themselves.
The company, Green Boom, announced its products will now be sold in Home Depot stores to cater to the “Do It Yourself,” or DIY, market. Officials with the company said it’s a big step forward in their effort to make green-friendly options more readily available to people.
