ATLANTA — The Clayton County Police Department announced Wednesday, March 13 that a Riverdale man who had been missing since February was found dead off Airport South Parkway near Georgia Highway 85 Tuesday, March 12.
According to the CCPD, officers responded on March 12 at about 9:25 a.m. to the 400 block of Airport South Parkway about a death investigation.
When they arrived, officers found Christopher Tuten, 41, deceased near the wood line.
The area on Airport South Parkway where Tuten was found is off highway 85 north of Rock Hill Drive and south of Lee’s Mill Road.
The CCPD said after a preliminary investigation was completed, the body was transported to the GBI’s Medical Examiner’s Office to determine to the cause of death.
On Feb. 10, the Clayton County Police officers responded to the 7500 block of Pembroke Court, Riverdale, about a missing person, who was identified as Tuten.
During the investigation, officers learned Tuten told the complainant that he was downtown.
