Goodwill of North Georgia reports an 84% surge in enrollment for women in non-traditional occupations since 2020. A 10% increase in women pursuing non-traditional careers – in construction, maintenance, logistics and information technology, among others – is forecast for the next five years.
Thanks to a $300,000 grant from the Coca-Cola Foundation to help serve women in non-traditional industries, Goodwill of North Georgia will provide workforce training programs for women to access occupations that currently have fewer than 20% women in the field.
