JONESBORO — “The Sound of Music” is coming to the stage in Clayton County.
The county’s acting troupe, The Front Porch Players, cast of 28 has been rehearsing since December to perfect the beloved musical.
TFFP Co-Founder Karen Ferrell-White, they’re thrilled to have obtained the rights to the produce such a wonderful show.
The cast, she said, “can’t wait to show (the community) the results of their work.”
“The Sound of Music has a lot of themes – love, seeking your place in the world, overcoming oppression and obstacles, and learning to be true to your beliefs,” said Director Danny Cook. “We hope the audience will be moved as well as entertained and will join with us as, all through or lives, we endeavor to “climb every mountain”.
All performances will be held at The First Presbyterian Church of Jonesboro, 1842 Lake Jodeco Road in Jonesboro.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for seniors and children.

• March 10-11 at 7:30 p.m.
