CLAYTON COUNTY — Two workshops are coming up for residents to get updates and share feedback about the Tara Boulevard Livable Centers Initiative.
♦ Jonesboro City Center, Thursday, Feb. 29 from 4:30 to 7 p.m., 1859 City Center Way, Jonesboro.
♦ Lovejoy Community Center, Thursday, March 7 from 4:30 to 7 p.m., 11622 Hastings Bridge Road, Hampton.
Officials will share progress made by the Tara Boulevard LCI project team in creating a community-informed plan for development, transportation and mobility improvements, and safety along the Tara Boulevard Corridor.
These workshops are a platform for stakeholders and the public to review the project team’s advancements and providefeedback as the final plan takes shape.
The same information and activities will be presented at both meetings.
“Created as a way to reduce vehicle miles traveled and improve air quality, the ARC’s Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) is a grant program that incentivizes local jurisdictions to re-envision their communities as vibrant, walkable places that offer increased mobility options, encourage healthy lifestyles and provide improved access to jobs and services,” information from the Atlanta Regional Commission’s website read.
