JONESBORO — Clayton County Public Schools recently announced that Eddie White Middle Academy Principal Micki Harris won the 2024 Choose Success Outstanding Principal Award by the Communities in Schools of Atlanta organization.
Harris was selected in recognition for her teamwork and commitment to Communities in Schools of Atlanta.
“Speaking for the Clayton County Board of Education, the 50,000-plus students and the more than 7,000 employees, I extend our congratulations to Dr. Harris on being selected for this outstanding award,” said Anthony W. Smith, CCPS superintendent/CEO of Schools. “Her ability to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment is truly remarkable and her tireless efforts to improve academic excellence and create a positive school culture are second to none.”
According to information provided by the Communities in Schools of Atlanta, Harris, through her leadership, has enabled that organization to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the Eddie White students served.
As the recipient of this award, Harris will be honored at the 2024 Choose Success Dinner in Atlanta on Thursday, March 21.
She will be featured in a short video during the Communities In Schools 2024 Choose Success Virtual Celebration and highlighted on the organization’s social media.
