State Rep. Dar’shun Kendrick, D-Lithonia, is working to get the names of grand jurors off indictments in an effort to protect them.
Kendrick filed House Bill 1137 last week to deal with the types of indictments issued by grand juries across Georgia. Indictments currently list the names of the grand jurors, allowing anyone who reads the court document to know who was involved in the decision on wether to proceed with prosecution of a defendant in Superior Court.
