HAMPTON — A Hampton woman is facing felony murder and other charges after a standoff with police.
According to the Clayton County Police Department, Oni Layell Hart, 25, of 1755 Fielding Way, Hampton, is charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, prostitution, obstructing an officer, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
According to Clayton County Court records, Hart was scheduled for a first appearance hearing Saturday, Jan. 20 at 11 a.m. in Clayton County Magistrate Court.
The CCPD said that on Thursday, Jan. 18 at about 9 p.m., officers responded to Redwood Ridge Apartments, 228 Morrow Road, Forest Park, in reference to a person shot.
Officers found Andre Farrier, 47, suffering from at least one gunshot wound and going in and out of consciousness. Farrier was transported to a local area hospital, where he later died.
