FOREST PARK — After a brief pursuit in Cobb County late Friday afternoon, officers captured Victor Demetrious Baymon, the suspect in triple shootings in Forest Park.
The suspect is currently in custody, the City of Forest Park said in a press release.
”Chief Brandon Criss and members of the Forest Park Police Department sincerely appreciate the help of all agencies with apprehending the suspect,” a statement from the City of Forest Park read. “Our agency remains committed to ensuring the safety and welfare of all of our citizens.”
Friday afternoon, the Forest Park Police Department identified Baymon in connection to the shooting incidents.
Officers also confirmed that there were a total of three individuals shot Friday, with one killed.
Friday at about 10:37 a.m., the Forest Park Police Department was called to respond to an active shooting incident.
All city buildings and local schools were then placed on lockdown.
