U.S. Rep. Lucy McBath’s stint representing part of Gwinnett County in congress will end at the end of 2024 after a federal judge upheld the recent redrawn congressional and state legislative maps on Thursday.
McBath announced after the ruling that she will run for her old 6th district seat in 2024. The congresswoman previously held that seat for four years, but when it was redrawn in 2021 to heavily friendly to Republicans, she jumped over ran for the Gwinnett-centric 7th congressional district.
