JONESBORO — The Clayton County District Attorney’s Office announced on Dec. 28 the conviction and sentencing of Tempest Cymone Daniel in the 2020 murder of her husband.
On Dec. 20, Superior Court Judge Robert Mack sentenced Daniel to life in prison with the possibility of parole.
Daniel convicted of malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault-family violence.
According to the Clayton County DA’s Office, on Jan. 18, 2020, Daniel and her husband of three years, Vincent Taylor, had an argument that morning.
Mayor left the home with the couple’s two minor children and they spent the day with Taylor’s father and his grandmother.
During the visit, Taylor and his father discussed Taylor’s domestic situation and Taylor said he was leaving the relationship.
Taylor brought his children home and told his father again that he was going to end the relationship with Daniel.
The following three to four hours result in Taylor leaving leaving his home after being stabbed by Daniel.
Taylor was found in DeKalb County with a stab wound to his neck. He was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital where he died from his injury.
