On Thursday, Dec. 7, Kay R. Pace Elementary School of the Arts welcomed State School Superintendent of Georgia Richard Woods as he toured Clayton County Public Schools to visit the winning schools of the 2022-23 Literacy Leader Award. Pace — along with four other CCPS schools — was awarded the 2022-23 Literacy Leader award in October. Woods was welcomed by fifth grade student ambassadors Alana Cummings and Sidra Garrett, Principal Lee Buddy, and Chief of Schools Keith Colbert. Here are some scenes from the visit.
