JONESBORO — During its regular meeting Tuesday, Nov. 21, the Clayton County Board of Commissioners approved uniform and accessories contracts for the police and fire departments.
Both contracts are special purpose agreements as the County Commission also approved to terminate an annual contract with T&T Uniforms South, Inc., of Jonesboro.
The County Commission approved that contract on June 6 and the contract will be terminated Dec. 7.
The uniform and accessories contract for Fire and Emergency Services is for $317,976 with NAFECO North America Fire Equipment Company, of Decatur.
Money is coming from EMS General Fund and Fire Department’s Fire Fund.
The uniform and accessories contract for th Police Department is for for $310,000 from T&T Uniforms, Inc., of Smyrna.
Money is coming from Police Department and Sheriff’s Office General Fund.
Both contracts are fr six months with the option to renew for an additional six more months.
The County Commission also approved an annual contract for a LeadsOnline PowerPlus Investigation System for $122,181.
Funding is through the Police Department’s General Fund.
