JONESBORO — The Clayton County Public Schools Sixth Annual Mental Health Awareness 5K Run and Walk is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 11 at 9 a.m. at the Clayton County International Park, 2300 Georgia Highway 138, Jonesboro.
The starting point will be at the St. Thomas Pavilion.
“Formerly known as the ‘CCPS Teen Violence & Suicide Awareness 5K,’ this mental wellness event is designed to educate and raise awareness among young people, families and our community about mental health and promote well-being activities,” a statement from the school system read. “The theme this year is ‘Thriving’.”
Registration is now open and all proceeds will benefit district well-being efforts for staff and students.
