JONESBORO — The Second Annual 18 Holes for Heroes Public Safety Golf Tournament will not only support public safety agencies but will feature a $1 million shootout.
The event, hosted by Clayton County Commissioner Alieka Anderson, is scheduled Friday, Oct. 20 at Lake Spivey Golf Club, 8255 Clubhouse Way, Jonesboro.
“It is an honor to support our public safety professionals,” said Anderson. “This is an opportunity to salute and show respect to the selfless men and women that exhibit courage and bravery daily to protect our residents and communities.”
Participants can buy Million Dollar Shootout Raffle tickets for the opportunity to have one shot at $1 million.
Tournament players can form a traditional four-person team to compete in Best Ball or play Mulligans and Dice Roll.
“It is wonderful anytime the community can come together to support firefighters, police officers, sheriff deputies, paramedics, and 911 communications,” said Clayton County Interim Fire Chief Tim Sweat. “I am excited to participate in this event for another year, and I encourage everyone to come out and support this great cause.”
Onsite registration begins at 8 a.m. Shotgun start promptly at 9 a.m.
